There is a photographer on one of the online forums I frequent who does these macro shots and posted a how-to thread. Today, Nathan and I bought some flowers and an eye dropper and gave it a whirl. Whatever is behind the water drop is blurred in the background but is in perfect focus inside the drop itself. Like in the last one, it's a flowered shirt.

It is pouring again today. :( Went to the mall with B&K and then to lunch. There is a tile display there so we played around in the pretend showers, using them as backdrops. :) Then we played in the photo booth. And of course, took a spin on the carousel that left two of the five in tears at the end. The spinning got a little out of control. Click this to see it bigger, it's worth it. :)

I can't think of a title today. It's POURING outside and the studio was set up so....there are more on the studio blog!

Unlike all the other fund raisers this year, Girl Scout Cookies come at a time when I have no other fund raisers to deal with. So, I give you my GIRL SCOUT PROMISE that if you buy a box or boxes from Miss Megan, I will turn your order in before the deadline, you will get your cookies in a timely manner , and my husband will not open your box and start eating them before you get them. We got the movie "Game Plan" starring the Rock. The kids saw it with Tony and Dorie so I hadn't seen in yet. I watched it with Megan and Nathan tonight. During a scene where the Rock's daughter is taken from him and he's sad and missing her, tears fill Nathan's eyes and he says, "I don't know why, but this is making me cry." Later on in the movie, there is some other touching moment and Nathan says, with a tear rolling down his face, "It's happening again and I don't know why!" Ahhhhh.....my sweet boy. At dinner the other night, Nathan announced that when he grows up, he wants to by Martin Luther King Jr. Then Logan shouted, in his deep man-voice, "I'm going to be Darth Vader." I'm just so, so proud of my boys. :)

On our way home today, we stopped in Pismo. We had told Megan about the sand dollar shells we found there when Rob and I got away one weekend last year. We found lots of broken shells but that was good enough for her. I took Megan and Logan on a walk to find shells and play while Daddy and Nathan did a little surf fishing. Rob promised Nathan they would fish and Nathan would not let it go even though it was still really, really cold and drizzly today. Don't worry, all fishies (3 I think) were thrown back. Quote from the car...Nathan: "Megan, what is 7 + 6? I can't do it on my fingers because I only have 10."
