my big day

Image
Hi Everyone, it's me, Logan. My mommy wanted me to tell you that there are two other new posts below this one so you don't miss them (Auntie). Mommy is letting me post on her blog because today was the greatest day of my 3 year old life. Today I met my idol - Lightning McQueen! Here's what I decided to wear today (even my underwear has my hero on them): Here I am waiting for him to arrive. I can't hardly stand it! Then I see him! Look! Look! It's Lightning and Mater coming right to me!! Here we are with Lightning. I'm so excited I forget to look at Mommy's camera! Here's one of Nathan but this post isn't really about him. Here *I* am with my favorite number, Lightning's number, 95! We also said hi to Mater. He was cool but I really wanted to check out LM some more. Me and my Lightning. I made sure to touch every inch of him, including his tires. In this shot, Nathan has had enough of this attraction. Daddy took him somewhere else to ru...

the big fish

Image
Rob caught this halibut yesterday while I was having the potentially bad day. He says it was 30 pounds and he divided it up and has given it to like 4 different people already (you know, cuz his wife won't eat it!).

potential bad day was saved

Today started out as a disaster. I've been scheduling my Saturday sessions so that I don't have to rely on Rob to watch the kids. He likes to fish every weekend. So, I had my first session at 9:30 because Krystal's opens at 9:00. I had time to get the boys there and take Megan to art. I had a break from 10:30-11:00 to pick Megan up and bring her home or to Krystal's while I finished shooting. I had it planned perfectly. So Rob went fishing and I arrived at Krystal's at 9:15 and it was closed - locked, lights off - closed. I called EVERYONE. No one answered my calls except Colleen who had somewhere to go - I think you all saw my name on your caller id and pretended to be asleep! Colleen watched the boys (and was late to a party) while she waited for Kris to arrive in her jammies (she answered the second time I called) to take over while I did my sessions. During the break, I called Krystal's to find out what happened. They changed their hours from TEN...

cleaning day

Image
Nathan's favorite time of the week is when the housekeepers come. He races upstairs to get his cleaning supplies, puts on some gloves, and cleans right along side them. He discusses what needs to be done with them but the funny thing is, they don't understand what he's saying and he doesn't understand what they are saying. They think he's cute though, and so do I.

the pioneer woman

I just assume everyone else wakes up in the morning and reads this blog before doing anything else. It can't just be me.

bambi

Image
Bambi is in town this week! We haven't seen her since August. For those who don't know, she was one of my mom's very best friends and babysat me when I was teeny tiny - I think starting at two years old. Nathan has been asking when she will get here since Thursday. She finally got to spend the day with the kids today and tomorrow we are going to scrapbook with Jennifer! Yay! The kids loved seeing her. They climbed all over her. Megan wanted Bambi to spend the night in her room! Last time she was here, I didn't take any pictures! So this time I piled the kids on her for one. Here we are playing Zingo - a game Cindy brought for the kids yesterday. Thank you, Cindy! Amazing that there was something all 5 could enjoy together.

baseball and bedrooms

Image
Today was an eventful day. Cindy and her family came up for photos this morning. I have lots of editing to do for that but I did work on one with Dashiell and a bunny that's on my 365 blog . Then Blake and Kayla came to play. We drove through Wendy's and ate at the sports complex. Logan and Nathan were beyond excited that Blake had his REAL baseball equipment in the car. The three boys played baseball with Rob for TWO solid hours, taking turns wearing the helmet and hitting a hard ball with a hard bat. My boys actually held their own considering. We were so impressed that we went into the office to ask about t-ball. We missed registration but we are on a waiting list. The good thing is that they could be on the same team since the birth years of 2002 and 2003 play together. Keep your fingers crossed. My three guys - daddy pitching, Logan batting, Nathan catching. And what did the girlies do during all that? Oh, girly things.....played on the swings and played dolls....
