halloween part 2

Image
So, after school we all made more spider cakes - my co-room mom was so nice to send home extra supplies so the boys could make them, too! Then we finished these little egg carton pumpkins that we started over the weekend. Here we are getting ready for trick-or-treating. Daddy missed it this year because Wednesday nights he teaches a class at the college. I guess his students are too old for trick-or-treating. We had dinner with Alex and Colleen and her parents and then met on Kylie's street to trick-or-treat with them. Kylie was Tink, too! Alex, come back! We met up with Alex's friend Jayden, too! Heading back to the car.... We made two more stops - one at Casey's and one at Auntie Mann's. She has watched all three kids at some point at her house while we've worked but now they are all in school so we don't see her every day anymore. It was soooooo good to visit with her. The kids were so tired by then. Logan fell asleep on the way home. I was very proud...

halloween part 1

I went to the kids' school today to watch their Halloween parades. Nathan, Mr. Peter Pan, decided to wear his Spider Man dress-up costume instead. Nathan's class Then it was off to Megan's parade friends Then Meg's class had a party so I helped with that. They cut open pumpkins and counted their seeds and weighed them. Then they made spider cakes (I'll be making more with the boys after school).

starving pumpkins

Image
That's what Logan called it. He asked me all day, "When are we going to starve pumpkins?" Hanging out while waiting for the pizza to arrive After dinner, we didn't mess around. Straight to those pumpkins! Kayla girl and her sticky hand Megan and Kari Kris and Corey Lise and Blake Brady (he's so happy I always have a camera) and Jen Blake Logan showing his jack-o-lantern to papa Rob and Nathan - planning the scary face Jen - she is so glad she's part of this wacky family now! Nathan and his favorite parent with their spooky creation Kayla and Logan getting slimy! Megan worked HARD on hers - she wanted to spell her name but settled for "MEG." All the cousins The annual "pumpkin top" photo The women (who worked just as hard) Kris? Did you hear me say "glamorous?" Uncle Chi Chi was the judge. Look at each little face. Nathan is confident. Logan is giving a sweet face, trying to sway the judge. Kari is hoping to win. Megan is a...

lombardi ranch and a party

While Rob went fishing this morning, I took the kids over to Lombardi's to buy our carving pumpkins, show a little support, and give a donation. It was so sad to see the destruction but we were happy to see so many families there. Casey and Kris went last night and talked to the Lombardis for a while (old baseball friends). They do plan to rebuild. Thank goodness because Halloween wouldn't be the same without it!! Then it was off to Scooter's Jungle for Benjamin's 3rd birthday party. Daddy got home in time to come and here they are planning their jump on the giant slide... And laughing at how fun it was! See that mark on Logan's forehead? Now it's all the way down to his eye. He got all turned around and slid down on his face so that's a nice little burn mark. As many kids as I could fit in my frame - wrong lens for a group shot.
